1. Cook the pasta in a saucepan according to its package directions. Drain out excess water and return the pasta to the pan.
2. With the cooked pasta in the saucepan, add the mushrooms and cream.
3. Stir till the cream has spread throughout the pasta.
4. Add the ham or bacon and heat on low to medium until the entire dish is hot. Stir constantly to avoid burning.
5. Serve.
