  In The Kitchen

What You'll Need

Basic sugar cookie dough
Lifesavers
Baking sheet covered with tin foil
Plastic baggie
Hammer
Cookie cutters

Stained Glass Cookies

1. Cut out a shape of cookie dough with the cutter.

2. With a knife, or with a smaller cookie cutter, cut out the center, but leave a 1/4 inch border.

3. Place the cookie with the big hole in it on a cookie sheet covered with tin-foil.

4. Sort the lifesavers by color and put them in plastic bags.

5. Crush the lifesavers with the hammer, but be careful not to pound too hard or you'll break the plastic bag (you can do this outside on the sidewalk).

6. Pour the crushed lifesavers into the hole in the cookie.

7. Bake until cookie part is done. The lifesavers should be melted.

If you poke a hole in the cookie you can string them and hang them on the Christmas tree or in the window.
