1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

2. In a large bowl, mix together the butter, brown sugar, and egg.

3. When the above items are ready, add the milk and stir.

4. In a smaller bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt.

5. Pour the flour mixture into the large bowl with the other ingredients, and mix them well.

6. Add the M&M's, and stir them in to your dough.

7. Drop by rounded teaspoon evenly spaced onto a cookie sheet, and place into the oven.

8. Bake for 8-10 minutes.
