What You'll Need

Apple
Knife
1 Tablespoon sugar
1 Tablespoon brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1-2 Tablespoons butter or margarine
Tin foil

Baked Apple

1. Core an apple. Get an adult to help you if necessary.

2. Mix together brown sugar, sugar, and cinnamon in a small bowl.

3. Place the apple on a sheet of tin foil and secure it around the apple halfway up.

4. Fill the apple halfway with the sugar mixture and cover that with half of the butter.

5. Fill the rest of the apple with the sugar mixture and top it with the rest of the butter.

6. Wrap the tin foil tightly around the rest of the apple.

7. Bake it in the oven for 35 minutes at 375 degrees.

8. Remove the apple from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, and unwrap it carefully. The tin foil will be hot.

9. Serve your treat in a bowl with all of its flavorful juices.

Tip:
If your apple won't stand upright, you can cut a small slice off the bottom to make it level, before you wrap it in foil. Or you can place the wrapped apple in a muffin tin to hold it in place.

Note:
You can also add other ingredients to your baked apple such as maple syrup, raisins, dates, or dried apricots. The possibilities are endless!
